Why Us
Why Staten Island Homeowners Call Us First
One-Hour Average Response
Call during business hours and you will hear back from us in about an hour, not next week. You get a real electrician on the phone, not a call center taking a message.
Free Estimates, $0 Trip Fee
We never charge you just to show up and look. You get a clear price before any work starts, and you decide from there.
Approved by The Home Depot and Lowe's
Both retailers vet the contractors they send work to, and we passed. We also install Tesla chargers through Charge Home Solutions.
We File the Permits and Call Con Edison
Panel upgrades and new service need paperwork and utility scheduling. We handle all of it in house, so you are not chasing inspectors or sitting on hold.

What We Do
Electric Panel Upgrades
Breakers that trip when the AC and the microwave run together usually mean your service is too small for the house. Plenty of Staten Island homes still run on 60 or 100 amps, which cannot handle central air, an induction range, and an EV charger at once. We install and replace panels, add subpanels, swap out old fuse boxes, and upgrade incoming service to 100 or 200 amps. Most upgrades are finished in a day, and we handle the permit and the Con Edison scheduling for you.
Learn moreHouse Rewiring
Knob and tube, cloth covered wire, and aluminum branch wiring are all still live in Staten Island homes, and insurance companies are getting stricter about every one of them. Rewiring sounds like a gut job, but it usually is not. We fish new wire through the walls you already have, work room by room so your family can stay in the house, and patch up behind us. We will tell you straight whether you need the whole house or just a few circuits.

Electrical Safety & Code Compliance
A DOB or ECB electrical violation can stop a sale or a refinance cold, and the buyer's attorney will not move until it is cleared. We inspect the wiring, correct what failed, file the paperwork, and get the sign off. We also take care of the safety items that show up on home inspection reports, like GFCI and AFCI protection, surge protection, and hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. If you have a closing date, give us the date and we will work to it.

Electrical Installation Service
Adding a kitchen island, finishing a basement, or putting in a new stove? A lot of Staten Island homes do not have the circuits to carry it. We run new power wiring for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, HVAC units, pools, and home additions, then file the permits so the work passes inspection. Get a free estimate before your project starts.

Lighting Contractor
Dim rooms, dated fixtures, and a backyard you cannot use after dark. Lighting changes how a house feels faster than almost anything else, but it needs the right circuits behind it. We install indoor lighting, recessed lighting, and outdoor lighting across Staten Island, from a single fixture to a full room.
Learn moreEV Charging Station Contractor
Charging an EV from a regular outlet takes all night and still might not fill the battery. We install Level 2 home chargers, commercial stations, and Tesla chargers through Charge Home Solutions. We check whether your panel can carry the load before we quote you, so there are no surprises on install day.

About Premier Electrical Contractors Inc

FAQ
Common Questions
How much does it cost to upgrade my electric panel?
It depends on your current service size, where the panel sits, and how far it is from the meter. A 100 amp to 200 amp upgrade is the most common job we quote on Staten Island. We come out, look at what you have, and give you a written price for free. No guessing over the phone and no charge to find out.
Do you charge to come out and give me a quote?
No. Estimates are free and there is no trip fee. You only pay if you hire us to do the work, and you will know the price before we start.
How fast can you get to me?
We answer most calls within an hour during business hours. How soon we can be at your door depends on the job and the day, but you will get a real answer on timing when we call back, not a vague promise.
Are you open nights and weekends?
No. We work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. We would rather tell you that up front than take your call at 10 PM and leave you waiting. Leave a message after hours and we will get back to you first thing.
Can you clear an electrical violation before my closing?
Yes. This is a large part of what we do. We inspect the wiring, correct what failed, file the paperwork with the city, and get the sign off. Tell us your closing date when you call so we can work backward from it.
What happens if I am not happy with the work?
We come back and make it right. We stand behind every job with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and after 30 years on this island our name is on the line with every neighbor you talk to.
